This was my first sale as a little girl in Nassau. ⁠ ⁠ It was selling a box of cookies as a Girl Guide/Scout. ⁠ ⁠ Today is recognized as #GirlScoutDay and I thank my childhood leader Karen Lightbourne who invested her time, years and money into myself and hundreds of Bahamian girls. ⁠ ⁠ At seven yrs old, I thought I would never finish selling that box of cookies 😊and wasn't ready to negotiate my allowance.⁠ ⁠ But this sisterhood introduced me to service, leadership and empathy as a school girl and I'm grateful.
